Health and Well-Being Week

We have been exploring the many different ways we can look after our body, mind and spirit this week:

Everyone loved joining in with 'zumba' and we understood the importance of being active and making our hearts beat faster every day.  Kate from 'Relax Kids' treated us to a morning of relaxation and taught us how to focus on using all of our senses to ensure we stay happy, calm and in control of our bodies. We used the 'sugarsmart' app to scan different food and drink labels and we were shocked to discover how much hidden sugar there was in lots of our favourite snacks and drinks.  On Friday, Mr Houseby talked us about his job as a mental health nurse, he encouraged us to look out for anyone who may be feeling sad or lonely  and to keep our brain healthy by switching off our ipads and devices well before we go to sleep.

 

What an exhausting week filled with lots to think about and ideas for how to get active!!
