Releasing The Nursery Butterflies
We have been observing the caterpillars growing in Nursery. They made cocoons and after two weeks the butterflies emerged. They were very tired when they pushed their way out of the cocoons so we gave them sugary water to feed from. One of the butterflies rested on some of the children's hands. We watched them fly away to find nectar to drink from flowers in the garden.
