Awards & Achievements

Our latest Ofsted inspection in November 2023 was graded Outstanding in all areas.

Ofsted said: "Pupils achieve exceptionally well. This is due to the school’s rich, well-considered academic curriculum and enrichment programme."

The Church and School Partnership Award celebrates the relationship between the school and our local church, celebrating the impact that it has on the flourishing of the whole community. The REQM recognises our high quality RE curriculum and good practice. Celebrating that our pupils get the chance to explore their own and others’ beliefs, values, and ways of living which are important to them. Liverpool Local Authority has awards an Attendance Quality Mark. It is awarded to schools whose strategies  improve attendance and reduce persistent absenteeism working on partnership with parents and carers.

The Basic Skills Quality Mark is an award that celebrates and supports continuous improvement in English and Maths. It is awarded to a setting or school to recognise their provision, practice and performance in English and Maths. This award recognises settings who can prove that they are providing the very best education for young children, helping them to develop their English and Mathematics skills in an age appropriate way. ‘School of Excellence Status’ for French. This award was achieved through the children and staff working hard to learn the French language and about different French customs and festivals. French is an important aspect of Emmaus’ life and it is completely embedded in our curriculum. The Inclusion Charter Mark is awarded to schools that have a welcoming ethos and enable pupils to access every aspect of school life regardless of the barriers that these pupils may face.

The dyslexia friendly award is awarded to schools who can demonstrate that they are ‘dyslexia friendly’ in four areas; Leadership and Management, Teaching and Learning, The Classroom Environment, Partnership and Liaison with Parents, Carers, Governors and Concerned Parties. Eco Schools is an international award programme that guides schools on their sustainable journey, providing a framework to help embed these principles into the heart of school life. Healthy Schools is a national health promotion programme which aims to embed good practice around health issues in schools and to give children and young people the best possible opportunity to develop positive healthy behaviours. 

The Liverpool Reading Quality Mark is an award created in partnership with the National Literacy Trust, aimed at promoting reading for enjoyment.

Emmaus has been awarded the GOLD Artsmark.  It is awarded to schools who show outstanding contribution to the arts. We are keen to celebrate the children’s work in all areas of the arts – dance, drama, art and music.

The PQSM raises the profile and quality of science across the whole school. PQSM also ensures strong and positive impact; children make good progress, building and consolidating their knowledge and skills, developing positive attitudes about science and its value to their lives and globally.

The LCQM recognises schools who promote a culture where people readily understand the impact good numeracy skills and mathematics qualifications can have on the social, financial, health and employment aspects of their lives.

Music Mark Schools are recognised for their commitment to providing high-quality music education for their school community.
