We revisited our learning about 'animals including humans' during a trip to Chester Zoo. We learned about a variety of animals that feature in each group; mammals, fish, birds, amphibians and reptiles. We also recalled facts about animal diets and sorted animals into the categories of 'carnivore', 'herbivore' and 'omnivore' whilst talking about them.

We had a wonderful day! Thankfully the November sun shone brightly for us and we even had a picnic outside. It was a lovely trip and all of the children were excellently behaved. Several members of the public at the zoo complimented us on our outstanding behaviour. Well done Year 1, you did a great job representing your school.
