Deacon Chris from Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church came to visit the Nursery to christen a doll. We dressed up as Mum, Dad, Godparents and the minister. Deacon Chris talked about the shell and cross on our uniform standing for baptism, Jesus being near to us and being part of God's family. Deacon Chris talked about how special our names are and that God knows our name. He showed us the oil which is used to make a cross on the baby's forehead, the baptismal shawl and special candle. We named our doll Luca Jonah and clapped after the water had been poured over his head using the shell. We all sung "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands" at the end of our doll's Christening.
