We have been exploring freezing and melting. We collected snow and brought it indoors to see how long it took to change into water.
We observed Numicon and numbers frozen in ice, we had fun counting the creatures and watching the ice bergs melt!
We've really enjoyed dressing up in the Frozen Castle role play. We have put on fur coats, Elsa, Anna and Sven dress up. We used thin brushes to carefully put imaginary make up and face paint on the dolls and our friends.
In the block play we working operatively to develop our awareness of shape, space symmetry and balance while building Frozen Castles.
We've developed our fine motor skills by making snowflakes. We carefully used the scissors to cut out shapes from paper. We decorated our snowflakes with glitter.
We made icing sugar patterns too. We dripped and splashed cold coloured paint onto paper with an icing sugar wash. We watched the paint spread out and created beautiful shapes and patterns.
