Nursery RE: From Galilee to Jerusalem, Epiphany

We celebrated the visit of the Magi (Wise Men) with Reception dressing up and singing with us. We listened to the story of the Wise Men visiting Jesus from the Bible (Matthew 2 1-2, 10-11). We made maps like the Wise Men travelling to take gifts to the little boy Jesus. We went on a "Star Hunt" imagining we were the Magi following the star God sent to show the way to Jesus. Mrs Armstrong led the way with two children playing instruments.

We arrived at the Mary and Joseph's house and imagined giving gifts to little Jesus. We remembered the Wise Men travelled a long way for a long time because Jesus was very special, he is God's Son who loves us all. 

We heard the Glory Be prayer, thanking God for his love to us, and we joined in with the Sign of the Cross.
