Pre Reading Games

In Nursery we develop your child's pre-reading skills.  It is important to develop their listening skills and enable them to differentiate between different sounds.  We hope you have fun with these games.  We follow the Read Write Inc programme and prepare your child to successfully be able to read by the end of Reception.  

Please play these games with your child.  If they are not sure how to play or they need support let them watch you play first.  When they then have a turn we praise the effort they put in, regardless if they have got everything right.  With practice and by having fun your child will be able to develop their phonological awareness.
