Shrove Tuesday
Making and Tossing Pancakes!
We listened to the story "The Big Pancake" and joined in with the repeating refrains. You can listen to Mrs Caulfield reading it again if you click on the link below.
To celebrate Shrove Tuesday, or Pancake Day, the children made pancakes for snack. We enjoyed them with a choice of chocolate or strawberry sauce and tangerines.
We also had great fun tossing ready made pancakes together in Nursery. Have a look at the photos below!
Shrove Tuesday is the day before the beginning of Lent. During Lent we will be thinking about how we can become more like Jesus. We will think about the ways we can show love and kindness to each other and about saying sorry to God and others when we have done something wrong.
