The Taize community is an ecumenical monastic order, composed of over a hundred brothers from both Protestant and Catholic traditions. The community aims to be a sign of reconciliation between divided Christians and between separate peoples.

The community is based in France and is one of the world's most visited sites of Christian pilgrimage.

Pilgrims go to Taize to pray, study the Bible and to share in communal work.  In doing so they are encouraged to live in the spirit of kindness, simplicity and reconciliation.
