We tested different properties of materials to see if they are opaque, transparent, stretchy and if they can float

As part of our cultural capital offer, for our ‘living things and their habitats’ topic, we took a trip to Chester Zoo! We spent time looking at different animals and reading and learning about how they are adapted to their habitat. As part of our workshop we even got to watch Napo the jaguar being fed, and some of us met CBBC legend Steve Backshall who was filming at the zoo too! A very inspiring day!
