The recent wintery weather has been a great opportunity for some sensory scientific investigation and transient art!
We filled pots with sparkly water then left them outside overnight. The temperature was below 0...The next morning, we discovered that our watery pots had frozen and changed from liquid to solid! We popped them out and hung them up, then we waited to see what would happen as the winter sun began to shine and the temperature began to rise...

Day 1: Fill the posts with sparkly water and leave them outside...
Day 2: Hang up the ornaments and watch what happens!
RKM Day 1: We filled the pots with water and added sparkly decorations to twinkle in the sun.
RKM Day 2: We thought about what could have happened to the water in the pots, it had been very cold overnight. When we lifted our ice sculptures we were delighted to find they had frozen!
