We joined the children in the hall for our first assembly today. Mr Williams welcomed us all. He played some reflective music and images ("Overthinking" by Samantha Ebert).
Some Year 6 children told us about Lent and led us in prayer. We al made the Sign of the Cross together. Deacon Chris talked about Ash Wednesday being the beginning of Lent, when we think about how we can be generous, help more, give up some things and say sorry.
We thought about the Good News that Jesus came and died for us all, that Jesus loves us and is always with us. Deacon Chris and Mrs Armstrong put a tiny ash cross on each of our foreheads.
