World Bee Day
To celebrate World Bee Day we heard a story about a greedy bee and also listened to a non fiction book about the important jobs bees do. We talked about how pollen sticks to the bees' tummies and legs, then the bees take it to other flowers. The pollen helps new flowers grow! The bees also collect nectar using their long tongues like tubes. They use the nectar to make honey for the baby bees and we can enjoy it too!
We sponge printed flowers then glued on a pretend bee, to remind us of our amazing friends the bees.
