Throughout the academic year, we will hold a variety of fundraising days to support different charities. Here are a list of the charities that we support. We will update this page with our progress throughout the year. 

The Trussell Trust

We believe in supporting the nationwide network of food banks and know that together we can provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty, and campaign for change to end the need for food banks in the UK. CAFOD

This is the official aid agency for the Catholic Church in England and Wales. With everybody's help, they are able to reach out to people living in hard-to-reach places, in war zones and those who are discriminated against. Please find more information on the fantastic work they do at https://cafod.org.uk/

World Down Syndrome Day 

We promote World Down Syndrome day to raise people's awareness and understanding of Down Syndrome. Down Syndrome is a naturally occurring chromosomal arrangement that has always been a part of the human condition, being universally present across racial, gender and socio-economic lines. It affects about 1 in 800 births worldwide, causing intellectual disability and associated medical issues. 

At Emmaus we support the cause by asking our children and staff to come to school wearing odd socks for the day to raise awareness. This will be held on Monday 21st March 2022. 

We supported Zoe’s place this term and raised in excess of £500!
