Nursery Tadpoles
Nursery and Reception Tadpoles
Mr Armstrong has given Nursery and Reception some tadpoles from his pond. We have been using magnifying glasses to observe them as they swim and nibble on the pond weed. Mrs Caulfield has also been feeding them frozen bloodworms and water fleas. We are keeping a close eye on them to see when they start growing their back and front legs and become frogpoles. When they turn into froglets they will be returning to Mr Armstrong's pond.
We have created tadpole pictures by smudging chalk pastels and using finger paint. We have also had fun making a dough and gem pond for the small world play frogspawn, tadpoles, frogpoles, froglets and frogs. Click on the links below to see some of the photos.
