To celebrate National Dentist Day we read a story about Jess and Jake having their teeth checked, discussed when we brush our teeth and why. Fernando told everyone that we clean our teeth to get rid of the 'bacteria.' We talked about healthy drinks and snacks and keeping our teeth strong. We thought about sugary food and drinks and how they can cause our teeth to go bad because of acid. We watched a Cbbees video about Eva's first trip to the dentist.
We also talked about how big we are now and that we don't need dummies or bottles anymore, especially as they are bad for our teeth. The children are bringing in their old dummies and bottles to leave for Easter Bunny's bunny babies!
All the children took home a toothbrush and toothpaste too, courtesy of the Children’s Centre.
