What a great time we had walking around the Red Squirrel Woods. The guides introduced us to Sally Squirrel and what was in her lunch box, we learnt that squirrels live in nests in the trees called dreys. We thought about litter and that it is harmful for the squirrels. We saw a lot of red squirrels running up and down trees, looking for pine cones to eat. We had cards with pictures we had to look for, including rabbit holes, magpies, marker posts, signs and feathers.
After our woodland walk we ate picnics and played on the beach. We had lots of fun making sandcastles, collecting shells and paddling in the sea too. Oliver even found a tiny crab. What wonderful weather we enjoyed, our prayers were answered!
