What a fantastic trip! The children have had the most incredible experience; learning to ski and growing in maturity. We hope they will tell you all about their trip and enjoy looking back through these photographs.
Many thanks to Mr Tony McKee and the Liverpool Primary Ski Association.
We're off the slopes, having completed 12 2-hour lessons and sustained no injuries more serious than a minor bump or bruise! Time to get packing now 🧳
What a busy day...we have arrived in resort, been fitted for boots & skis and done some unpacking in our rooms. Now ready for dinner, we can't wait for our first Italian meal!
Passing Lake Como en route to Bormio.
What a great view as we flew over the Alps ✈️ We have safely landed in Italy 🇮🇹
We've boarded and are ready with time to spare!
We've cleared security and are ready for breakfast! 😋
And we're off! Heading to the airport and super excited, even if it is 5am!
Bormio is a town with a population of about 4,100 located in the Province of Sondrio, Lombardy region of the Alps in northern Italy. The centre of the upper Valtellina valley, it is a popular winter sports resort. Our hotel, Girasole (which means sunflower), is at 2000m altitude.

You will also find photos (and hopefully videos if the Wi-Fi allows!) of our progress on the slopes on the Emmaus X (formerly Twitter) page. #EmmausSkiTrip24
First time on a slope for many of our skiers. After a couple of hours we already have mastered putting on our boots and skis, slowing and turning. We can't wait to hit the slopes in Bormio, Italy in 2024!
