Fred Talk. This is a very important skill that children need to have before they can read. A child needs to be able to hear a word broken down into its individual sounds and be able to blend the sounds together to make a word before they can read a word using their phonic skills. We all follow this format as all members of staff have to use the same plan and the same language. Please practice looking at the flashcards we have sent home with your child. If they find any sounds tricky please use the appropriate video to support them.
