Think about:
- Who does it belong to?
- Why did Aunt Gwen and Uncle Alan lie?
- What is magical about the garden?
Task:
Imagine that you are the first person to have stepped into the secret garden, not Tom.
Describe it from every angle. Describe above you, below your feet, from side to side and in the distance. Use your senses. What can you see, hear, smell, feel / touch, taste?
TIPS: Use WOW words, varied sentence openers, similes, personification and high-level conjunctions.
