Collective Worship Theme: Hope
Noah's Ark
As part of our Collective Worship theme, we have been learning about how Noah and his family put their hope in God: they built an ark ready for when the flood came. We dressed up and played in the Ark role play area together. We drew our own pictures and plans of the Ark. We have painted animals, the sun, clouds and a rainbow for the display. We used Brusho inks to create raindrops and waves in the flood water. We used lolly sticks for collage on the roof of the ark. We sang the song 'Mr Noah' and looked at various books about the story together. We learned how God put a rainbow in the sky after the flood to remind us to put our hope in him when we feel scared or sad. We listened to some Bible verses about hoping in God too.
