Illustrator Laura Kate, second visit to 3W. In our second session with Laura, we used the characters that we created in our last session and made our very own zines. We then focused on one double spread and blew it up on the A3 card, adding in lots of details.
Summer 1 - sculpture- this term we have been creating our own sculptures in the style of Anthony Gormley’s The Field and Another Place Iron Men on Crosby Beach.
Laura Kate Chapman, illustrator visited 3W today to lead a workshop in creating and sketching characters.
The children loved looking at Laura‘s artwork and learning about the process illustrators go through when producing artwork for a picture book.
Artist and poet, Kate Eggleston – Wirtz visited 3W this week to create some amazing collage artwork based on the painting Spring in St John’s wood, London, by Laura night.
Colour mixing to continue Georgia O’Keeffe artwork
Y3 discovered how to mix primary colours to create secondary colours. We went on to colour match some flowers painted by Georgia O'Keeffe.
