Tous Ensemble, En Chemin Avec Jesus

Animation by 1CB

At the start of this topic we watched a really old cartoon from 1930 which made the children all laugh! They realised that ANYTHING can happen in an animation. Next we looked at Victorian flick books and then drew our own simplified versions. Then it got technical....

It has been fun to learn about cartoons and how they are made. We chose our favourite transport images and made them more using Revelation Natural Art Advanced on the school desktop computers. We learnt about frames and how to use the onion skin technique.

I have a series of wonderful GIFs the children created but no matter how I try, I cannot get them to move on this website. Sorry!

LEGO Movie Maker is a free app on the iPad that we have used to make our own stop-frame animations. It was lots of fun to make our favourite toys move across the desks all by themselves! We used the onion skin technique to help us move the objects just a tiny bit each time. This made it look as though they were animated.
