Maths : Exploring Shape and Space
The children have begun exploring shape and space at Nursery. They have been introduced to using bucket balances to compare weights of shells, wood, stones, conkers and firkins. The children are learning how to balance the scales and use vocabulary heavy, light, balance and the same. Some children have been working co-operatively using blocks and bricks to build towers and one child used rulers to measure her height against the wall.
