Electricity: Independence and High Expectations
This term our unit of work has been EVOLUTION AND INHERITANCE. We learnt about the stages of fossilisation and then made our own fossils. We had fun being fossil hunters ( palaeontologists) 😊.

A big thank you to Dr Hasara for visiting us in year 6, where the children had a fun time learning all about the Human Circulatory System!
The children in 6M have been learning about what’s in our blood. We learnt that there are 4 components : plasma ( the liquid part), red blood cells ( which carry oxygen), white blood cells ( which help fight infection) and platelets ( which help our blood to clot). We made blood using water and yellow food colouring to represent the plasma. We then added red cheerios to represent the red blood cells. Marshmallows were added to represent the white cells and finally cotton buds were the platelets. This helped us to visualise the liquid and solid parts 🙂.
