Chinese New Year
Fen Fen told us about the story of Chinese New Year and we heard all about the New Year traditional celebrations and children receiving Lucky Money in red envelopes from their families. Fen Fen told us that this is the Year of the Monkey and there will be dancing and fire crackers in Liverpool. She showed us photos of the Lion and Dragon dances too.
We went into the hall and danced with ribbons to traditional Chinese music, it was very exciting! We made dragon shapes with the ribbons.
On Monday we will be cooking our own Chinese stir fry and enjoying Chinese food for snack.
