Numicon Maths
The children helped to freeze Numicon pieces with corresponding numerals and water creatures. They explored the melting ice and counted the toy creatures as they were released. Through Numicon play, the children are developing concepts of number conservation and number bonds to 5 and 10, as well as counting using one to one correspondence and counting on.
