You will find RE, maths, English and a foundation subject has been set for each day. These lessons will be the same as the ones that are being taught to the few children in school. There are also our weekly spellings. We intend to populate the Y3 Home Learning During Closure page with lots more resources that you can dip in and out of if you wish to supplement with additional activities. You will find these in the folders below this message.

Please feel free to complete the tasks in whichever order you would prefer. 

You do not need to print any of the documents which are attached, you can use them on the screen of a device in the same way that the children might work from a text book, whiteboard or worksheet in class. There may be some worksheets however that you would like to print and work directly on.

At the end of your child's working day, please could you email their work to the Y3 team at year3@emmaus.liverpool.sch.uk. This can be done by taking photographs of their written work or practical work. Your child may prefer to type onto a Word or PowerPoint document which can be uploaded.

PLEASE send all the work on ONE email. It would be especially helpful if you could use your child's first and surname as the subject of the email. We will endeavour to reply personally to each child daily, during our work hours. We can provide support and feedback too so if you need further guidance or have any worries at all, please also use the above address. Please bear with us if there any teething issues in the first few days!

As we move forward with our learning from home, we would like the opportunity to catch up with the children in year three each morning and afternoon via Zoom. Please find the recurring invitations for each meeting in the email you have been sent.

These will only be for 15 minutes at a time. The morning meeting will give us the opportunity to explain the tasks that will be set for the day. In our afternoon meeting we can address any difficulties the children may have had, reassuring them that all work they have attempted is of value, and hopefully finish on a positive note with a short story or a chapter from a book.

We hope this will prove to be a positive point of contact for your children and to take the emphasis off you as parents expecting the work to be done – you can blame it on the teachers!
