RE Gathering
Mr. Housbey's Visit to Nursery
Mr Housbey from Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church and from Emmaus governors, came to talk to us about our RE topic of Gathering. He talked about the priest's special gown when people gather together at church. Some children tried on the gown and helped Mr. Housbey to set up the altar with the chalice and special silver tray. The tray had grapes and wheat ears on to remind us of the bread and wine... Jesus' dying for us all.
Mr Housbey showed a special baptismal candle. He explained that when we gather together in Nursery we sing songs and at parties we have special food. It is like this when we gather in church.
Mr Housbey showed us a Bible and Wafika helped Mr. Housbey by repeating a Psalm written by David the shepherd boy, 'My soul is longing and yearning for the courts of the Lord.'
