Tous Ensemble, En Chemin Avec Jesus

Nursery Palaeontologists

We have been learning about dinosaurs. Grey knew that a plant eating dinosaur was called a herbivore and that carnivores eat meat. Everybody loved looking at the  giant non fiction book which belonged to Mrs Caulfield's big son when he was four. We talked about our favourite dinosaurs and roared just like them too! We read Dylan's favourite dinosaur story, "The Dinosaur Which Pooped a Planet!" We enjoyed counting the dinosaurs in the rhyming book "Ten Little Dinosaurs."

Harry told everyone that a palaeontologist "digs up dinosaur bones and fossils." Aubrey remembered the word. We decided that we all wanted to be palaeontologists and use sieves, brushes, rakes and digging tools to look for dinosaur fossils and bones. Harry found a skull and tooth fossils in the beach and lots of children discovered bones in our digging area. We counted the bones and noted them down in our palaeontologist floor book. Hope found four bones and Isaac counted seven.
