Nursery Garden Party
The children wore red, white and blue to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday. We made flags and had Union Jack face paints. We enjoyed playing games outdoors with our friends. We watched a video about the Queen's birthday on Espresso and talked about her age. We made the Queen's age using reed numerals. Nico recognised the symbols for nine and zero; Madison knew the numbers together said 'ninety'. Lennon showed his beefeater to the class. We ate cucumber and egg sandwiches outdoors and had birthday cake. We sang ‘Happy Birthday’ in English and French. Thanks to Thomas Bracken’s mum, the Queen made an appearance too!
