Tous Ensemble, En Chemin Avec Jesus

Story time

I'm loving reading this new story from J.K.Rowling, the author of Harry Potter. This story is not about Harry or magic and it is fascinating so far. I can't wait to find out what happens to King Fred the Fearless or to 5 year-old Bert Beamish. Every day, one or two new chapters are posted on The Ickabog webpage ready to read.

For those of you who are artists, why not try entering the competition to illustrate one of the characters, scenes or even the Ickabog itself? They are looking for imaginative pictures to illustrate the book when it is published, later this year. Click on the image below to find out how to enter or click here to discover the suggested themes for each chapter. You can take a look at some of the entries already submitted in the illustration gallery. Wouldn't it be incredible if you were chosen to become a published author? Good luck!

Did you know your local library has thousands of ebooks and audiobooks?

You can borrow them, instantly, for free, using just the device in your hand.

We have been showing the children how technology can be used to borrow ebooks and audiobooks on a tablet or mobile phone as an alternative way to enjoy stories. If they have a library card for any of the Liverpool libraries then they can access this for free!

Try a zoomable graphic novel, or a picture book with readalong audio.

For as long as schools are closed, we're open. Starting today, kids everywhere can instantly stream an incredible collection of stories, including titles across six different languages, that will help them continue dreaming, learning, and just being kids.

All stories are free to stream on your desktop, laptop, phone or tablet. No username or password needed. smiley

Explore the collection, select a title and start listening.

It's that easy.
