Sort a variety of 2D shapes on a Venn diagram. Sort by one or two conditions. smiley
A game where you need to sort 2D and 3D shapes according to their properties. This site lends itself well to a teacher led activity as the second section asks the questions but does not provide the answers.
Read the time on an analogue clock. Lots of choice over levels, including: reading time to the nearest hour, half hour, quarter hour, five minutes or minute. Options include using a 24 hour clock and seeing how many correct answers you can get in a given time. smiley

Match each digital clock to the matching analogue time. The times are based on the 12 hour clock and are on the half hours. smiley

Coins game is a money game which introduces children to coinage. It has three game modes. The first activity, Sorting, helps children to recognise the different coins. The second, Ordering, involves arranging the coins from lowest to highest values. Thirdly, the Counting game has eight different ability levels where children count the amounts of money on a piggy bank. It can help to improve children's accuracy in counting money. smiley
This starts easy but as you progress to mixed coins, you can move on to calculating change given from up to a £10 note. smiley

Measuring in cm

A measuring game for children aged 5 to 9 years of age. This game provides a useful introduction for children learning to use a ruler.

There are two levels; one with whole numbers of centimetres and the second with mixed examples involving whole numbers and halves. The game also provides a good introduction to reading scales. smiley

We've been working on animation in our computing lessons. So far, we have used Revelation Natural Art on the desktop computers to create stop-frame animation with drawings, and Lego Movie on the iPads to create stop-frame animation with photographs. Now we're using Scratch by MIT to code our animations with the use of algorithms.

This is software which can be used online or an offline editor can be downloaded (for free) here.

You will need a computer to use this software - it doesn't work on a tablet or mobile phone. Take a look at the tutorials and have fun!
