Year 2 and 3 have been working hard in their music lessons with Mr. Gordon from Liverpool Cathedral's School Singing Programme. On Wednesday they performed a collection of Christmas themed songs to the whole school who were very impressed by their repertoire! We look forward to continuing lessons in January with a planned performance for our families later in the year.

We took part in a road safety session and were reminded of the importance to LOOK, LISTEN AND THINK before crossing the road.

Check out our v-shaped valleys! In geography we have been learning about rivers. This week we explored how rivers change the landscape and how young rivers and carve the land by erosion.

Our maths topic this term has been place value. We explored hundreds, tens and ones, placing them in the correct column and adding tens to them. We also looked at crossing the 10 and how we might exchange ones for a 10.

In our most recent PE lesson we have been matching and contrasting actions and shapes to create a sequence.

Y3 investigated wind dispersal of seeds using their own paper seeds! They timed their descent and measured how far they fell from the original drop.

Year 3 have been looking at belonging in PSHE and have enjoyed considering what makes a dream school. They felt it was one where people listened to them and made them feel safe.

Year three have been learning about rivers in geography and used modelling clay to create a v-shaped valley and to replicate erosion.

Year 3 had great fun solving maths problems provided by Liverpool University maths and Stem team. Great team work seen by all!
