We asked who liked eggs and talked about where they come from. We learnt about the different ways eggs can be cooked. Elias said he loves Daddy's boiled eggs with toast. Charlotte said she likes boiled eggs too. Lots of children like scrambled eggs on toast.
Mrs Caulfield passed around the eggs she had boiled. We felt them to see if the shell was hard or soft. Ida knew inside the egg white was yellow. We learnt it is called the yolk.
We all helped to peel the shell off the eggs, then we stirred mayonnaise into the chopped eggs.
We loved putting egg mayonnaise onto our toast and tasting it. Luca, Millie, Florence, Evie, Jayden and Chuy loved our egg mayonnaise and wanted more!
We sung 'Chick, Chick, Chick, Chick, Chicken, Lay a Little Egg for Me.'
