"J'habite á Liverpool, en Angleterre!"

We went on a 'map hunt' in our school environment and found some enormous maps on the Infant playground. We talked about the information that maps give us and developed lots of new vocabulary relating to position, direction and location.

We located our school, Emmaus > our local area, Croxteth Park > our city, Liverpool > our country, the United Kingdom > our world, planet Earth!

We noticed some special symbols on the map of Liverpool, representing familiar places in our community. We talked about the many different places that we have visited and discovered that some key features were natural, like Formby Pinewoods and others were man-made, like Anfield Stadium!
