Home Learning during Closure

12th July Update:

Hi everyone! We hope you have had a wonderful weekend with your families. It was fantastic to see lots of our children on the zoom meeting on Friday. It was especially lovely for your teachers and Mrs Hunstone, Mrs Parry and Miss Donaghy to see all of the children's smiley faces. We all noticed how grown up you look!

We told you all about our memory books on Zoom too. We are asking all year 2 children to send us a memory poem, picture, photograph, drawing, piece of writing or letter to talk about what you have loved in year 2. We are planning to put these together in a book for each class which we can do a video of and share with you all!

You should all now know who your year 3 teacher will be and so between now and September we would really like you to spend some time preparing for the changes year 3 will bring. We will be uploading lots of transition materials this week as have your year 3 teachers on their page.

Please spend some time having a look to prepare for the exciting year ahead!

What wonderful children we have at Emmaus! Thank you to all of our Year 2 children and their families for the fantastic video you all created for us. We were so happy to receive such a beautiful and happy video, filled with your lovely messages. All of the teachers and staff at Emmaus really enjoyed watching it, it really cheered us up and reminded us how amazing you all are! (Some of us definitely shed a tear watching it!) Thank you all for this kind gesture for us! Stay home & stay safe together.

We will see you all soon!

Earlier this year we spent a lot of time in year 2 talking about love and what it means to show love, for our assembly on valentines day. Let us share a bit of love with one another!
