The Nursery children met Brian the giant African land snail and some children wanted to hold the snail too! His shell was hard and he was heavy and slimy! We needed to spray him with water to keep him damp. He had lettuce to eat.
Mrs MacKenzie also brought some colourful grasshoppers and grubs for us to look at too. Outside we searched for bugs together, we found snails, beetles, slugs, ladybirds, bees, spiders, woodlice, worms and ants. Some children made a bug house out a a tyre, soil, rocks, leaves and grass. We had great fun!
