The Joyous Spring Festival of Purim
The children listened to the story of how brave Queen Esther trusted God and helped to save the Jewish people from the wicked plot of Haman. We dressed in own clothes and fancy dress to celebrate Purim. We made graggers (shakers) and had lots of fun creating noise with the percussion instruments too!
We made triangular Hamantaschen to take home to eat. Hamantaschen remind Jewish people of the hat Haman wore when he was arrested, this was the time that Purim became an annual festival of fun and joy.
