It was very exciting to hold the chicks, their feathers felt soft and Thomas Bracken said that their feet ‘feel ticklish!’ Some Infant and Junior children were chick helpers. Reece told the afternoon Nursery about how the chicks need to be kept warm in their incubator with the heat light. He told the children how the water and food needs to be topped up and he reminded everyone that the boy chicks have yellow faethers and the girl chicks have brown feathers.
