Retired Police Officer Bob Visits Nursery and Reception
Retired police officer Bob (nicknamed Robbie the Bobby) came to talk to us about the role of the police and how they protect us. He read the story "Robbie the Bobby Investigates the Missing Pies," based in West Derby. The story was written by Bob's friend Karl. The children loved hearing the story and listening to Bob talk about the work of the police. James knew how handcuffs work and Luna told everyone how the police 'use computers to help them to find baddies.' Poppy said that in an emergency 'you ring 999.' Harry M. said that the story of the missing pies was 'a mystery.' The children tried on Bob's police hat and some children bought signed copies of Karl's book too.
