Baptism
Alistair from St Cuthbert's Church came to talk to us about baptism. The children dressed up as parents and God parents. After deciding on a name for the baby doll, Alistair showed us all how he uses a shell, just like the Emmaus shell, to pour water over the baby's head. Alistair made a sign of the cross using oil and the parents and God parents held a candle too. Alistair talked about welcoming the baby into God's family. Alistair said a prayer thanking God that He loves us and we are all His children.
We talked about Christenings which we had been to and who was there.
