Here Comes Summer!
We have had a very busy start to our last half-term in Reception, with so many wonderful experiences already...
Infant Sports Day 2014!
We enjoyed an afternoon of glorious sunshine with our families and friends, participating in twelve fun and challenging events:
Friends of Emmaus
World Cup
Penalty Shoot-Out!
Our penalty shoot-out fundraiser organised by 'Friends of Emmaus' was a huge hit with everyone as it took place on the same day that the World Cup started in Brazil! We loved coming to school in our favourite football kits and cheered on our friends as they had three attempts at beating the goalkeeper to score penalties.
This half-term, we have also been able to practise lots of different skills each week during our football training sessions with Matty and Liam, our friendly LFC coaches!
Our annual celebration of all things French took place when we celebrated French Week!
We took part in traditional French dancing, tasted brioches and jus d'orange when we enjoyed French breakfast and we all came to school dressed in the colours of the French Flag, le tricolore! We used the interactive whiteboard to play games with Barnaby Bear 'en vacances' in France, discovering lots of famous places in Paris, including the Eiffel tower and the Louvre Art Gallery.
