Goldilocks and the Three Bears
Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
The children listened to the story of Goldilocks and The Three Bears and sang the Goldilocks song.They enjoyed dressing up as bears and Goldilocks in the role play and re enacted parts of the story, introducing their own ideas too. Fir cones and wood chippings were weighed out to make 'porridge', introducing the children to the basic concepts of weight, in addition to concepts of size reinforced through the story. The children used puppets to retell the story of Goldilocks and shared the big books with friends, developing co-operative and listening skills.
The children also enjoyed sugar and additive free porridge for snack.
