Chinese Restaurant Role Play
The children developed their social skills, sharing and turn taking, their physical skills (dressing up, mark making and preparing meals), language, communication and imagination when role playing in the Chinese Restaurant. Volunteer assistants, Mrs Benson and Ann, modelled browsing through menus and cookery books, requesting meals, taking phone calls, paying bills, cooking and writing down orders too. The children handled role play money and real copper coins. The menu specials were very imaginative, including cucumber and orange soup and zombie smoothies!
