Forest School: Leaf Hunting & Fanta-Sticks!
We have been enjoying Forest School, exploring Autumn in all its glory. We went on a ‘leaf hunt’ searching for leaves of all different shapes, textures and colours, discovering other seasonal treasures too. It was fun finding out about deciduous and coniferous trees, matching the leaves, fruits and seeds to the different trees in the beautiful October sunshine. After our hunt, we tipped out all of our treasures and made leaf potions and pictures then, best of all, we enjoyed leaf dancing together!
After reading 'Stickman' and 'Not a Stick' we then embarked on a stick hunt! We all found a favourite stick and used our imagination to transform it into drumsticks, magic wands and fishing rods to name but a few of our 'fanta-stick' ideas!
