Planting Seeds and Caring for Flowers
The children planted runner beans and broad bean and watched them grow. We read the non fiction big book 'Bean Diary' together and observed the roots and shoots emerging. We measured the beans, they grew so fast! The children took their beans home to plant out and we also planted some in the Nursery garden.
The children also planted sunflower seeds, cress, tomatoes, potatoes and strawberries. We still have lettuce to plant out too.
A big thanks to the families who donated bedding plants for out baskets and tyre gardens.
