TENNIS FITNESS CHALLENGE | Try This Tennis Workout at Home!
This is a great short workout to help with your tennis agility and skills!!!!
The children will complete five exercises in a circuit keeping their own scores on their own record card. Each exercise will last for 90 seconds.
1.Cone run – sprint to cone 4 metres away and back again.
2.Skipping – count jumps.
3.Racket bounce – bounce ball on flat racket face.
4.Target roll – roll ball towards a cone and score on each hit.
5.Throw and catch – against the wall or in the air. One point per successful catch.
This term we will start to look at the sport of tennis. This is a great non contact sport to play and with everyone looking for games to play that include social distancing you can keep well apart from others or even play against a wall on your own!
The video below is a starter lesson to learn new skills and follow tennis drills. We would love to see pictures or videos of you learning these new skills and they can be posted on our Purple Mash blog. Have fun and keep your eye on the ball!!

Mrs Buckland exercising!!!
Phew! It's exhausting! I think I'm going to try Oti's dancing tomorrow. I need a bit of variety as I get bored easily! It's great to see that there are so many ideas for exercising online but, if you're lucky enough to have a garden, do try and get outdoors and enjoy this gorgeous sunshine. I think my basketball skills are really coming on (my son disagrees!)
