Autumn Treasures
Mrs Caulfield brought a conker and it's spiky shell to look at in Nursery. The children used a magnifying glass, it makes things look bigger. Some children even touched the shell, it felt prickly!
Florence brought a bag of Autumn leaves and acorns she had collected in the park to put on our Autumn Treasure Table. The children went to explore Forest School and search for Autumn treasures. They found lots of leaves of different colours and sizes, sticks, berries and tiny apples which the birds eat.
The children looked at the new trees planted in the Forest School area and had photos taken next to them. We will look at the photos next year to see how much the trees have grown and how much we have grown too!
It would be great if the children would bring in their own Autumn treasures to examine together at Nursery. This would be an exciting activity to do as a family at the weekend, especially as it is currently the Festival of Seed Gathering (encourage people to gather seeds from trees to plant in the future!)
